Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Athletic Department Administration and serve as a liaison for Womens Soccer team with various university units (housing, SAAC, budget) on issues related to each respective area.
- Works with Head Coach and assistant coaches with the team and recruiting travel (including travel authorization requests, buses/vans, hotels, and food); game day operations for the team at home (away, as needed) competitions
- Assisting with ordering pre and post-game meals
- Follows FIU procedures in handling all ordering of supplies
- Reviews, understands, and abides by all department procedures
- Maintains confidentiality for the department and all student matters. Treats with utmost confidentiality and sensitivity of any matter pertaining to academic and personal data of student athletes and any information either directly or indirectly impacting the University and/or Athletic Department
- Adheres to all State of Florida, University, NCAA, Conference USA, and department rules and policies pertaining to the position of Sports Operation Student Assistant (Womens Soccer) Report any known NCAA violations or concerns to the Director of Athletic Compliance
- Performs other related duties as required. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that logically relate to the position
Qualifications
- FIU student and eligible for Federal Work Study
- Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends and at locations outside of the University
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with others
- Ability to maintain a high level of professional integrity
- Ability to solve problems independently

- Ability to lift heavy equipment, ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, ability to work outside

Who May Apply
- Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.
- Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
- Upon credits decreasing, award being canceled, or graduating, FWS employment must end.
