The Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. Reporting directly to our Controller, you'll be the engine that keeps vendor payments accurate and on time -- supporting monthly financial close and making sure our back-office hums. This is a fully remote, full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday through Friday) for someone who takes ownership, follows through, and brings a positive energy to everything they touch.

What You'll Do

  • Process 500+ vendor invoices each month with a high degree of accuracy
  • Match delivery receipts to invoices and track vendor credits
  • Reconcile credit card charges and vendor statements on a monthly basis
  • Support weekly and monthly accounting tasks, checklists, and reporting
  • Follow documented workflows and troubleshoot discrepancies before escalating
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and contribute ideas for process improvement
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of AP/accounting experience in a construction environment
  • Hands-on proficiency with Sage 100 Contractor and Sage Paperless
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational habits
  • Clear, professional communication and a collaborative team mindset
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting with Microsoft Excel and cloud-based accounting systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

  • Invoices and vendor credits processed accurately and on time, every time
  • Credit card charges and vendor statements fully reconciled each month
  • Weekly and monthly checklists completed without prompting
  • A trusted, dependable presence on our accounting team that others can count on
