The Automotive Engineering QA AI Trainer Role

As an Automotive Engineering QA AI Trainer, you will review and audit automotive engineering prompts and model responses. The work requires practical engineering knowledge, strong technical writing, and the ability to determine whether step-by-step reasoning is accurate, rigorous, and clearly explained.

The role is listed as entry level, but applicants must have at least three years of professional experience in automotive engineering or a closely related field, along with practical Python experience.

What You'll Do

You will assess whether AI-generated answers correctly apply automotive engineering principles and communicate their reasoning effectively. You may move between different technical subjects quickly while following project-specific quality standards.

The work combines technical review, evaluation, and response improvement. Strong attention to notation, units, assumptions, equations, trade-offs, and standards will be important when deciding whether a response meets the required level of quality.

Requirements and Preferred Experience

Applicants need a bachelor's degree and at least three years of professional experience in automotive engineering, vehicle systems, powertrain, controls, electronics, or a similar area. A master's degree or PhD is strongly preferred.

You should be comfortable evaluating engineering reasoning, equations, design trade-offs, and standards. Prior teaching, lecturing, training, content review, LLM quality assurance, RLHF, or supervised fine-tuning experience is beneficial but not required.
