Join Our Team for the Autumn Sale!

We’re hiring Support Team Members to help us in the run up to and including our Autumn Sale, where you can get first pick of the Sale stock. Contracts lasting from a few days up to 4 weeks, depending on each store\'s needs.

Please note: availability on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th September will be required.

You’ll be part of the in-store team, working on the sales floor, in the stockroom, or both—helping things run smoothly during our busy time in store. Whether serving customers or managing stock, you’ll bring energy, teamwork, and a positive attitude, while keeping in touch with your team to ensure everything stays on track.

On the sales floor, you’ll:

  • Deliver fast, friendly service to help customers find what they need
  • Move stock to the shop floor quickly and efficiently
  • Keep sales floors looking great and easy to shop from

In the stockroom, you’ll:

  • Accurately process stock, including scanning, unpacking, hanging, size cubing, putting stock where it needs to go
  • Locate, pack and transfer stock out of store quickly and carefully
  • Meet key deadlines and keep the back of house tidy and organised

We also offer great benefits (conditions apply) — see further details below.

About You:

You’re friendly, reliable, and ready to take on whatever the day brings. Whether you\'re experienced or trying retail for the first time, you’re excited to learn and get stuck in.

You are:

  • Confident talking to customers and happy to help
  • A team player who stays calm and focused, even when it’s busy
  • Quick to learn and willing to try new things
  • Self-motivated, positive, and dependable
  • Well-presented and proud to be part of the team

If you’re looking for a fast-paced, hands-on role this autumn, we’d love to hear from you!

In accordance with Home Office guidance successful candidates will be required to evidence their right to work in the UK before commencement of employment.

This role is not one we would typically consider for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route due to, for example, the relevant Home Office requirements on skills level, not being met. Candidates are therefore encouraged to consider their own right to work options without Next sponsorship.

About Us

You know Next, but did you know we’re a FTSE-100 retail company employing over 35,000 people across the UK and Ireland. We’re the UK’s 2nd largest fashion retailer and for Kidswear we’re the market leader. At the last count we have over 500 stores, plus the Next Online and it’s now possible to buy on-line from over 70 countries around the world! So we’ve gone global!

About The Team

  • Recognition and rewards for doing a great job and achieving great results (after 1 week\'s service)
  • 25% off most NEXT, MADE, Lipsy, Gap and Victoria\'s Secret products (available after 1 week\'s service when purchased through NEXT)
  • 10% off most partner brands & up to 15% off Branded Beauty (after 1 week\'s service)
  • 75% off a generous (optional) working wardrobe allowance to buy clothes to wear for work (minimum 6 week contract)
  • Early VIP access to sale stock
  • Hot deals and exclusive offers from over 3,500 retailers through our online benefits platform
  • Access to fantastic discounts at our Staff Shops

Common Interview Questions And Answers

1. HOW DO YOU PLAN YOUR DAY?

This is what this question poses: When do you focus and start working seriously? What are the hours you work optimally? Are you a night owl? A morning bird? Remote teams can be made up of people working on different shifts and around the world, so you won't necessarily be stuck in the 9-5 schedule if it's not for you...

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

3. WHAT IS "WORKING REMOTE" REALLY FOR YOU?

Many people want to work remotely because of the flexibility it allows. You can work anywhere and at any time of the day...

4. WHAT DO YOU NEED IN YOUR PHYSICAL WORKSPACE TO SUCCEED IN YOUR WORK?

With this question, companies are looking to see what equipment they may need to provide you with and to verify how aware you are of what remote working could mean for you physically and logistically...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

Or you may receive even more specific questions, such as: What's on your calendar? Do you plan blocks of time to do certain types of work? Do you have an open calendar that everyone can see?...

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

8. HOW TO PRIORITIZE WORK?

The day I watched Marie Forleo's film separating the important from the urgent, my life changed. Not all remote jobs start fast, but most of them are...

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
