We are seeking an experienced Drafter / Designer to join our team. As a Drafter/Designer you will play a pivotal role in bringing our clients' visions to life. Using Chief Architect software, you will create detailed designs and renderings that showcase our high standards and innovative approach to remodeling.

Responsibilities 

  • Develop detailed CAD drawings and 3D renderings using Chief Architect software.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their design preferences and requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals and estimates. 
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare cost estimates for remodeling projects.
  • Ensure designs meet local building codes and regulations. 
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, and designers to understand project requirements and translate concepts into technical drawings. 
  • Coordinate with project managers and contractors to ensure designs are accurately implemented on-site. 
  • Revise drawings and plans based on client feedback and project requirements.
  • Keep comprehensive records of all drawings and revisions to ensure accuracy and accountability. 
  • Identify and resolve design-related problems or discrepancies during the construction phase. 
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, new CAD technologies, and best practices to enhance design efficiency and quality. 
Qualifications 
  • Experience in residential remodeling sales or design-build consulting 
  • Strong understanding of home construction, materials, and design principles
  • A degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in residential remodeling design (2+ years). 
  • Proficiency in Chief Architect is required. 
  • Strong understanding of building codes and regulations. 
  • Experience in preparing quantity takeoffs and cost estimates. 
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and design. 
  • Ability to visualize and communicate design concepts effectively. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 
  • A strong portfolio showcasing previous CAD drafting work, particularly related to residential construction. 
Compensation 

$8.00 - $10.00 USD
