Capital Raising Representative – Alternative Investments
Capital Raising Representative – Alternative Investments
Basecamp Resorts
Remote – United States
$65,000 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission
FINRA Licensing Required
The Opportunity
Basecamp Resorts is expanding into the United States and is seeking two FINRA-licensed investment sales professionals to join its growing capital-raising team.
Founded in the Canadian Rockies, Basecamp has grown into a leading hospitality and real estate platform with a portfolio of distinctive properties across premier Canadian mountain destinations. The company is now preparing for its next stage of growth, including expansion of its investment and development platform into the U.S.
This is an opportunity to get in early and help build Basecamp's U.S. investment distribution organization.
What You'll Do
As a Capital Raising Representative, you'll develop relationships with accredited investors interested in Basecamp's private investment opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Engage with high-net-worth and accredited investors
- Work company-generated inbound investor opportunities
- Conduct investor presentations and consultations by phone and video
- Manage prospects from initial inquiry through investment
- Clearly communicate Basecamp's investment strategy and opportunities
- Develop additional investor relationships through your own business-development efforts
- Build relationships with RIAs, financial advisors and other centers of influence
- Maintain an active investor pipeline and consistent follow-up
- Work within the company's broker-dealer and compliance structure
- Help establish and grow Basecamp's U.S. capital-raising platform
Leads Are Provided
This is not a capital-raising opportunity where you're simply handed an investment product and expected to find every investor yourself.
Basecamp has developed a successful digital investor-acquisition strategy designed to generate direct interest from prospective accredited investors. As the company expands into the U.S., qualified investor opportunities will be routed to its U.S. representatives.
You'll have the ability to combine those company-generated opportunities with your own investor relationships, prospecting efforts and RIA/advisor network.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for investment sales professionals who know how to build relationships, communicate an investment story and close business.
Strong candidates will have:
- Current or recent FINRA registration
- Series 7 and appropriate state securities registrations
- 3+ years of financial services or investment sales experience
- Demonstrated success in a sales-driven environment
- Strong telephone and virtual presentation skills
- Experience working with high-net-worth and/or accredited investors
- An entrepreneurial, hunter-oriented mentality
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Experience with alternative investments, private placements, private real estate, private markets, investment wholesaling or direct capital raising is particularly relevant.
Existing relationships with accredited investors, RIAs or financial advisors are a plus, but an established book of investors is not required.
Compensation
Base Salary: Approximately $65,000
This is a true base salary, not a recoverable draw.
In addition, representatives earn uncapped variable compensation based on capital raised:
- 1% on capital raised through $10 million
- 2% on capital raised above $10 million
The compensation structure provides substantial upside for successful capital raisers.
Why Basecamp?
Basecamp offers a different opportunity for an experienced investment salesperson.
You're joining an established hospitality and real estate company as it builds its U.S. investment platform—not stepping into another traditional financial advisor or conventional wholesaling position.
The opportunity includes:
- $65,000 base salary plus uncapped commissions
- Company-generated accredited-investor opportunities
- Fully remote U.S. position
- A differentiated hospitality and real estate investment platform
- Opportunity to develop both direct investors and RIA relationships
- Direct involvement in Basecamp's U.S. expansion
- Significant potential for growth as the U.S. organization develops
