College Dean

About the role We are seeking an experienced and visionary College Dean (CSIT) to join our team at AMA Computer College Inc. Bacolod. The Dean will provide strategic leadership and academic direction for the College of Science and Information Technology (CSIT), overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our computing and information technology programs. This is a pivotal role that shapes the academic excellence, student outcomes, and institutional reputation of the college within the university and the broader education sector. Key responsibilities - Providing strategic vision, academic leadership, and administrative oversight for the College of Science and Information Technology, ensuring alignment with institutional mission and goals - Developing, reviewing, and enhancing academic programs, curriculum, and course offerings to maintain industry relevance and meet accreditation standards - Recruiting, mentoring, supporting, and evaluating faculty and administrative staff, fostering a culture of professional development and academic excellence - Managing the college budget, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring financial sustainability and accountability - Ensuring compliance with academic standards, accreditation requirements, and regulatory guidelines set by relevant educational authorities - Fostering partnerships with industry, government agencies, and other educational institutions to enhance student learning outcomes and career prospects - Overseeing student services, admission processes, academic performance monitoring, and student welfare programs within the college - Representing the college at institutional meetings, committees, and external forums, advocating for the college's interests and contributions - Implementing quality assurance mechanisms and utilizing data analytics to monitor and improve academic and operational performance - Promoting research, innovation, and industry engagement amongst faculty and students What we're looking for - Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution - Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in academic administration, preferably including prior experience as a department head, program director, or similar senior academic leadership role - Extensive knowledge and expertise in computing, information technology, and related scientific disciplines - Demonstrated track record of curriculum development, academic program enhancement, and successful accreditation or re-accreditation processes - Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and develop faculty and staff - Proven experience in strategic planning, budget management, and resource allocation within an educational setting - Understanding of industry trends, technological advancements, and their implications for computing education and workforce development - Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders including students, faculty, administrators, and industry partners - Experience with institutional compliance, accreditation standards, and quality assurance processes in higher education - Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and collaborative academic environment - Preferably, experience working within the Philippine higher education system and familiarity with local accrediting bodies and regulations What we offer AMA Computer College Inc. offers competitive benefits and a supportive professional environment designed to attract and retain talented educators and administrators.
