Concept Artist – Buenos Aires

<div>We are looking for a Concept Artist to work on a brand new project at the Jam City Narrative Game division. Your role is to provide detailed prop, environment and potentially character concepts to 3D artists, and create polished 2d in-game art. </div> <div>In order to be considered, you MUST provide us with either a link to an online portfolio, website or a pdf showcasing recent artwork upon application.</div> <div> <strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul class="posting-requirements plain-list"> <ul> <li>Explore designs for environment, props and characters based on narrative and design needs, and present rough sketches to stakeholders.</li> <li>Render artwork matching the established art style</li> <li>Generate orthos for characters</li> <li>Create 2d rendered images such as icons, modals and title screen to be implemented into the game.</li> <li>Understand the technical limitation of our pipeline and work within those constraints.</li> <li>Work alongside your broader art team to brainstorm ideas and pass work between other artists. </li> <li>May be called upon to collaboratively solve design or product issues with individuals from those disciplines.</li> </ul> </ul> </div> <div> <strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p> <ul class="posting-requirements plain-list"> <ul> <li>3+ years of game experience as a concept artist.</li> <li>Versatile art style.</li> <li>Can create rough and highly polished 2D artwork. </li> <li>Good understanding of the 3D art pipeline.</li> <li>Great comprehension of human and animal anatomy.</li> <li>Excellent at posing characters to communicate actions and emotions. </li> <li>Can easily bring artworks to a fully rendered look, with a great understanding of lighting and materials.</li> <li>Complete mastery of Maya and Adobe Creative Suite.</li> <li>Hungry for problem solving.</li> <li>Art Degree or similar working experience.</li> </ul> </ul> </div> <div> <strong>NICE TO HAVE</strong></p> <ul class="posting-requirements plain-list"> <ul> <li>Unity knowledge.</li> <li>Ability to sketch using 3D software.</li> <li>Experience texturing in Substance Painter. </li> </ul> </ul> </div> <div class="text-small italic text-gray-700">We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
