About AI Training Work
AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Contributors create examples, review model outputs, and evaluate whether AI systems can complete realistic tasks accurately and consistently. This work helps shape how modern AI agents perform in real-world settings.
- Work with structured files, documents, and realistic business records
- Help evaluate AI agents on accuracy, completeness, and data integrity
- Build experience in a growing, flexible technology field
The Role
As a Data Entry AI Evaluation Task Designer, you will create realistic benchmark tasks that assess how AI agents handle data-entry and validation challenges. You will translate high-stakes accuracy and data-integrity practices into evaluation materials that reflect regulated or audit-sensitive environments.
This entry-level role is a strong fit for people with practical experience in data entry, quality assurance, or data validation. Prior AI experience is not required when you bring strong knowledge of accurate, process-driven data work.
- Role focus: AI data-entry evaluation tasks
- Experience level: Entry level
- Language: Proficient written English
- Work arrangement: Remote and asynchronous
What You'll Do
You will design and produce expert-level evaluation tasks that simulate real-world data-entry and validation challenges for AI agents. Tasks should use realistic errors and clearly define the expected result so that model performance can be measured consistently.
- Construct and curate complex datasets using CSVs, PDFs, spreadsheets, and technical documents
- Introduce realistic malformed records, missing data, inconsistent formats, silent truncations, and other validation issues
- Define the correct final state, error cases, and reconciliation requirements for each task
- Author detailed grading rubrics with 35 or more criteria
- Assess AI agent outputs for accuracy and completeness
- Refine evaluation materials through precise written and verbal communication
- Work independently in a distributed, asynchronous workflow
Required Skills
You should be comfortable detecting and analyzing inconsistencies and formatting irregularities across diverse file types. The role requires disciplined documentation of measurable accuracy standards and outcomes, along with the ability to write complex tasks and comprehensive grading rubrics in proficient English.
- Experience in data entry, quality assurance, or data validation across diverse file types
- Ability to detect malformed records, missing data, silent truncations, and formatting inconsistencies
- Skill in documenting accuracy outcomes and measurable standards
- Ability to author detailed evaluation tasks and grading rubrics
- Exceptional attention to detail and a process-oriented work style
- Ability to work independently in a distributed environment
Helpful Background
Experience in healthcare claims, finance back-office operations, legal operations, compliance-sensitive work, or another setting where accuracy and data integrity are critical is valuable. Familiarity with reconciling records and documenting expected outcomes can help you create realistic evaluation standards.
- Data entry or validation in regulated or audit-sensitive environments
- Quality assurance involving multiple file and document formats
- Record reconciliation and error documentation
- Experience defining expected outcomes for accuracy-focused workflows
- No prior AI experience required with relevant domain knowledge
