Job Opportunity: Community Dietitian - Healthy Weight & Nutrition Service (Pregnancy and Early Years)Location: Children & Family Hubs across Hackney (hybrid: community, hub-based, and home visits)Hours: Part-time (minimum 14 hours/week)Contract: Fixed-term - 4-month pilot (Dec 2025 - March 2026)Pay: £28.00 - 39.00 Per Hour
Are you passionate about improving maternal and early-years nutrition in diverse communities? Join us in delivering a culturally responsive Healthy Weight & Nutrition Service for pregnant women and families with young children in Hackney.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical dietetic support for families identified through maternity and health visiting pathways.
- Deliver early-years interventions for children experiencing nutritional challenges.
- Facilitate group workshops on healthy eating, weaning, and culturally inclusive meal planning.
- Collaborate with Family Hubs, health professionals, and community food networks.
- Monitor service impact through data collection and contribute to pilot evaluation.
What We're Looking For:
- HCPC-registered Dietitian with at least 3 years post-registration experience (maternal or paediatric focus).
- Strong communication skills and experience working with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of public health nutrition, safeguarding, and early-years frameworks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable:
- Experience in community or public health dietetics.
- Familiarity with Family Hubs, HENRY, or Start for Life programmes.
- Skills in evaluation and service co-production.
