Documentary Filmmaker for Furniture Story — YouTube + Reels/TikTok
I’m looking for a filmmaker/editor to create a warm, cinematic documentary-style piece about my family’s furniture-making story. The main goal is one genuinely strong YouTube film, with short-form edits that can also work well on Instagram Reels and TikTok.
The project will likely include:
• A simple creative approach and shot list before filming
• One on-location shoot after the current storm/weather passes (date TBD)
• Interviews, craftsmanship/process footage, detail shots, and location B-roll
• One polished YouTube film, approximately 4–7 minutes
• 4–6 vertical short-form edits, approximately 15–60 seconds each, formatted for Reels/TikTok
• Basic color correction, sound mix, and licensed music
• 1–2 reasonable rounds of revisions
My target budget is around $800 fixed-price. I’m open to a filmmaker proposing the smartest scope for that budget—I care more about strong storytelling and a beautiful final film than an oversized production. Please list any travel costs separately if applicable, and note whether raw footage is included.
When applying, please share:
• Relevant documentary, travel, lifestyle, or brand-story work
• A brief idea of how you would approach this story
• Your location, equipment, and upcoming availability
• Exactly what deliverables you can include within the budget
I’m looking for someone thoughtful, collaborative, and good at finding intimate, human moments—not something overly corporate or glossy.
