Editor (Proofreader) - Night Shift
Job Summary
As a PR Editor/Proofreader on the global Editorial Team, you will play a key role in delivering press release distribution services for clients worldwide. This role focuses on reviewing, formatting, and distributing press releases under tight deadlines while providing excellent customer service. You will act as a primary client contact, supporting administrative and consultative PR needs. While the role does not involve original writing, it offers opportunities to specialize in newswire distribution and client consultation. Clients range from C‑suite executives to PR professionals across various industries, supporting both Public Relations and Investor Relations functions.Key Responsibilities
- Review client press releases for grammar, spelling, clarity, and consistency (no fact‑checking required).
- Format press releases to closely match the client’s original layout and intent Distribute press releases through global networks to journalists, terminals, and websites.
- Support clients via phone and email, delivering a high level of customer service.
- Assist with regulatory requirements, including SEDAR and EDGAR filingsPerform account maintenance tasks such as managing user access, email distribution lists, and multimedia libraries.
- Act as a primary point of contact for client administrative and consultative requests.
- Collaborate effectively with teammates and cross‑functional departments.
- Develop working knowledge of other Notified products and services.
- Maintain focus and accuracy in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Work occasional overtime during peak volume periods.
- Participate in occasional weekend on‑call shifts, holiday coverage, and remote monitoring shifts as scheduled.
Minimum Qualifications
Education- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field required
- Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
- 1–2 years of professional experience required (newswire or editorial experience is a plus)
- Customer service experience in a fast‑paced environment required

- High fluency in both English and Mandarin (written and verbal)
- Strong overall customer service and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and editorial accuracy
- Strong multitasking and time‑management skills
- Ability to maintain focus and performance in stressful situations
- Comfortable learning and using technology and internal platforms
- Positive, professional, and service‑oriented attitude
- Comfortable with a fixed night shift and blackout periods during earnings peaks, when vacation leave may be restricted to ensure proper staffing.
