Electrical Engineer - Various Levels / Various Locations

Purpose & Scope of the Role As an Electrical Building Services Engineer, you will support the delivery of engineering consultancy services across a range of projects from early concept through to detailed design and construction stages. Working within multidisciplinary design teams, you will produce electrical designs, calculations, reports and drawings that meet both client requirements and regulatory standards. You will contribute to projects across multiple sectors and be involved in all stages of the design process, typically aligned with RIBA stages 1-4. You will play an active role in delivering technically robust solutions, supporting site surveys and construction stage duties, and working collaboratively with clients, architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure coordinated project delivery. Your Impact in this Position In this role, you will contribute to the successful delivery of technically complex projects by applying strong electrical design expertise and engineering judgement. Your work will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with best practice. By managing your own workload across multiple projects and engaging with clients and project teams, you will help strengthen project outcomes while supporting the development of sustainable and energy-efficient building systems. Core Capabilities Electrical Engineering Design - Deliver electrical building services designs across multiple sectors from concept through to completion; Produce design calculations, specifications, reports and plant schedules; Apply strong knowledge of relevant technical standards and legislation Project Delivery & Coordination - Work across multiple projects simultaneously while managing time and priorities effectively; Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure integrated solutions; Contribute to site surveys and support construction stage activities Digital Engineering & Modelling - Use tools such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit MEP, Relux, Dialux, Amtech and NBS; Support the production and review of design drawings and technical documentation; Contribute to efficient design workflows through digital engineering tools Sustainable Engineering & Innovation - Develop designs that consider energy efficiency and sustainability; Apply knowledge of renewable technologies and low-carbon building systems; Support environmentally responsible engineering approaches Communication & Collaboration - Communicate technical information clearly through reports and project documentation; Build effective working relationships with clients and project partners; Work collaboratively within engineering teams to deliver successful project outcomes Qualifications, Experience & Skills You will ideally hold an ONC, HNC or degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering and have relevant experience in electrical building services design. You should demonstrate strong technical capability, confidence working independently, and an interest in progressing towards Chartered Engineer status. Experience using digital design tools and delivering work across multiple projects will be beneficial. Working Environment This role sits within a collaborative engineering team based in our City Centre Leeds office. Travel to project sites may be required.
