Employement Verification Specialist
Description
Our client is in search of a Verifications Specialist who will function as an integral part of their team, responsible for authenticating the employment history, educational background, professional references, and licensure status of job candidates on behalf of their behalf.
Job Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls daily in the performance of education, employment, and reference verifications provided by job applicants on behalf of our clients
- Review and complete verification requests as ordered by our clients
- Determine, through research, the next steps to verify the information
- Answer inbound calls on a multi-line phone system for the Verifications Department
- Conduct internet research to verify education and employment information provided by job candidates
- Email businesses, schools, and professional organizations to verify information given by job applicants on behalf of our clients
- Conduct interviews with professional references to assess a job applicant's previous work history
- Administrative responsibilities related to the Verifications team
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of US verification experience
- A compelling telephone manner is essential, along with a polished and professional demeanor
- Proficiency in G-Suite and Microsoft Office applications
- Efficiently navigate across multiple windows and browsers, conduct thorough internet research, and type at a speed of 45 words per minute
- Must be amenable to work in US timezone
Minimum Technical and Work Environment Requirements:
- Internet Connection:
- Primary internet connection with a minimum speed of 15 Mbps.
- Backup internet connection with at least 10 Mbps.
- Backup connection must be capable of supporting work during a power outage.
- Primary Device:
- Desktop or laptop equipped with at least:
- Intel Core i5 (8th generation or newer), Intel Core i3 (10th generation or newer), AMD Ryzen 5, or an equivalent processor.
- A minimum of 8 GB RAM.
- Backup Device:
- Must meet or exceed the performance of an Intel Core i3 processor.
- Must be functional during power interruptions.
- Peripherals and Workspace:
- A functioning webcam.
- A noise-canceling USB headset.
- A quiet, dedicated home office space.
- A smartphone for communication and verification purposes.
