<p>This is a remote position.</p><p><span>HPO6001-Epidemiology & Biostatistics 1</span><br></p> <div> <br> </div><p><span>As an experienced online educator (LINC Fellow), the candidate will work as an independent contractor of LINC and serve a diverse international student body for Masters-level programs studying at premier Australian and Asian universities.</span><span> Candidate must possess strong knowledge of </span><span>epidemiology and biostatistics, with a sound understanding of study design, observational research, data classification, and descriptive statistical methods. They should be able to support students in evaluating epidemiological research, analysing and interpreting health data using appropriate statistical measures, applying measures of disease frequency and association, and using analytical software to communicate evidence-based findings effectively.</span><br></p><h3><span>Key Skills Required</span><br></h3> <ul> <li><p><span>Epidemiology</span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Biostatistics</span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Epidemiological study design</span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Observational data analysis</span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Data classification</span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Descriptive epidemiology</span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Frequencies, rates, and ratios</span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Risk ratio and odds ratio</span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Prevalence ratio</span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Statistical analysis software</span><br></p></li> </ul><p><span>Desired Candidate Profile</span><span> </span><br></p> <ul> <li><p><span>PG/Doctoral degree with distinction or first-class from a top university in India;</span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>At least 5 years of corporate experience and/or teaching experience in the relevant fields at a leading university or college (Note: Candidates with formal teaching experience at a university or college are preferred);</span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Empathetic, ambitious, warm and outgoing personality willing to work closely with people from diverse cultures; </span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Proficient in English language; excellent oral and written communication</span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Must possess  a working laptop and have access to a high-speed  (>10 MBPS) stable internet connection; </span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Ability to quickly learn and use technology platforms for interacting with students, including the host university’s LMS and LINCtrac (training on these platforms will be provided).</span><br></p></li> </ul> <div> <br> </div><p><span>The candidate needs to be available between 12 pm to 6 pm every day.</span><br></p> <div> <br> </div><p><span>Roles & Responsibilities</span><span> </span><br></p><p><span>LINC Fellows will be responsible for providing: </span><br></p> <ol> <li><p><span>Subject matter guidance to a group of 25-30 undergraduate online students;  </span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Support in learning skills like academic writing, research and time management; </span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Conduct 1:1 sessions for doubt-resolution, academic guidance and assessment draft reviews</span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Guidance on relevant reference material; </span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Assessment marking with long-form feedback </span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Management of discussion forums; and</span><br></p></li> <li><p><span>Proactive, prompt and personalised support to student queries and issues.</span><br></p></li> </ol> <div> <br> </div><p><span>LINC Fellows will be expected to promptly interact with students over email, or calls / online sessions from locations of their convenience (e.g. home, office, etc.).</span><br></p> <div> <br> </div><br>
