ESL Teacher
The ESL teacher in MIT International School, sister company of (Veritas ETLI) plays an important role in helping students improve their English language skills in a dynamic, interactive, and immersive environment. The teacher facilitates lessons that develop the four core areas of language learning: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
They also support the development of students’ confidence and communication skills through a range of camp-based academic and recreational activities.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging ESL lessons tailored to the language level and age group of the students.
- Focus on functional English, vocabulary building, pronunciation, and conversational fluency.
- Follow a camp-specific Book ESL curriculum.
Student Assessment and Feedback:
- Monitor and assess student progress through informal observations, class participation, and simple evaluations.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain records of their development.
- Participate in report writing or presentation sessions if required.
Classroom and Behavior Management:
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Promote good behavior, respect, and teamwork.
- Address behavioral issues in a supportive and appropriate manner
Collaboration and Camp Involvement:
- Work closely with other teachers, staff, and activity leaders to coordinate schedules and integrate language learning into wider camp activities.
- Participate in camp events or group games to encourage natural use of English.
- Ensure student safety and well being during all activities.
Cultural Sensitivity and Support:
- Foster an atmosphere of cultural exchange and mutual respect.
- Support students as they adjust to a new environment, helping them feel comfortable and engaged.
Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php30,000.00 per month
