We're looking for a highly organized, proactive, and resourceful Chief of Staff / Executive Assistant to work closely with the Founding Partner. This is a high-impact remote role that blends executive support, operations, project management, and strategic coordination.

About the Role

You'll be the operational backbone of 16VC, ensuring the leadership team can focus on investing, founders, and building the firm. You'll manage priorities, coordinate across internal and external stakeholders, and help execute strategic initiatives across multiple time zones.

This is a fully remote position. We value clear communication, ownership, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a distributed team.

No two days will be the same.

What You'll Do

Executive Support

  • Manage the Founding Partner's calendar, meetings, travel, and priorities.

  • Prepare agendas, meeting notes, and follow-up action items.

  • Coordinate investor, founder, and partner meetings across time zones.

  • Handle confidential correspondence and communications.

Operations

  • Improve internal processes and documentation.

  • Coordinate day-to-day business operations in a remote-first environment.

  • Manage vendors, subscriptions, and operational tools.

  • Support hiring, onboarding, and internal administration.

Project Management

  • Track strategic initiatives across investing, platform, and 16VC Labs.

  • Ensure projects move forward and deadlines are met.

  • Coordinate with internal teams, founders, and external partners.

  • Maintain dashboards, trackers, and operating documents.

Investor & Founder Coordination

  • Schedule founder meetings and investment committee sessions.

  • Assist with LP updates and reporting.

  • Coordinate portfolio communications.

  • Help organize virtual and in-person founder events, demo days, and community programs.

Research & Special Projects

  • Conduct market and ecosystem research.

  • Prepare presentations, reports, and briefing documents.

  • Support new initiatives and partnerships.

  • Take ownership of ad hoc projects from idea to execution.

What We're Looking For

  • 2–6 years of experience as a Chief of Staff, Executive Assistant, Program Manager, Operations Manager, or similar role.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote environment.

  • High attention to detail and strong follow-through.

  • Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion.

  • Self-starter with a proactive, ownership mindset.

  • Comfortable collaborating across different time zones and using remote communication tools.
