French Language Instructor
Synopsis of Role A French Language Instructor plans and delivers a French teaching program which meets students' learning needs and according to school curriculum and national standard to provide a high-quality educational experience for students. Essential Functions - Plan, prepare, and deliver French language lessons to students of varying proficiency levels - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and curricula aligned with educational standards and learners’ goals - Integrate French culture and real-life contexts into lessons to enhance language acquisition and cultural awareness - Develop instructional materials and assignments, including handouts, exercises, projects, and supplementary activities for classroom and independent learning - Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, oral presentations, written assignments, and other evaluation methods - Provide constructive feedback and individualized support to help students improve their language skills - Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress - Participate in curriculum development and contribute to continuous improvement of language programs Preferred Education and Experience - Native speaker of French; or, for non-native speakers, a minimum CEFR C1 or C2 level of French proficiency (advanced or near-native level) - Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, Linguistics, or a related field - Previous teaching experience, preferably in a language instruction setting - Strong knowledge of French grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and language usage - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
