Google Docs to Google Photos Data Entry — Match Instructional Notes to Timestamped GIFs
I’m looking for a highly detail-oriented freelancer to help organize a sports instructional video library.
The work involves matching written instructional notes with timestamped photos/GIFs in Google Photos and posting the correct notes as comments.
This is primarily a data-entry and content-matching task. Accuracy is much more important than speed.
## First Paid Trial
For the first assignment, you will work on one instructional only: American Lock.
The instructional is divided into multiple chapters. Each chapter has its own Google Doc containing notes, rather than one large document for the entire instructional.
I will provide access to the chapter documents, the matching Google Photos album, an image showing the official chapter names and time ranges, and a separate Google account/email login to use for posting comments.
Do not work on any other instructional until I have reviewed the American Lock trial.
## Example Files Attached
I have attached two real example PDFs from the instructional so you can see exactly what the notes look like before applying:
Chest Push — 4:25–11:04
10 Finger Entry — 11:04–15:07
The Chest Push example contains detailed concepts, step-by-step notes, individual timestamps, and matching GIF ranges such as `5:06–5:44`, `5:44–6:24`, and later repetitions.
The 10 Finger Entry example follows the same structure and includes matching GIF ranges such as `11:37–12:18`, `12:18–12:58`, and later repetitions.
These attachments show the type of information you will be working with.
## What You Will Do
The basic workflow is:
Open the correct chapter document → find the note and timestamp → find the matching timestamped photo/GIF in Google Photos → copy the correct note → post it as a comment.
For example, if you are working on the Chest Push chapter, which covers `4:25–11:04`, and a note relates to something happening around `6:10`, you would look for the Google Photos GIF covering that point in time.
The example Chest Push document includes a GIF covering `5:44–6:24`, so a note at approximately `6:10` would likely correspond to that GIF. You would still confirm that the visual content and note match before posting the comment.
You will work through the chapter in chronological order and then continue to the next chapter document.
## How to Determine the Correct Match
Use four checks:
1. Correct chapter — Make sure you are using notes from the correct chapter document.
2. Timestamp — The note timestamp should fall within or closely correspond to the Google Photos GIF/photo timestamp.
3. Content — Briefly look at the photo/GIF and make sure it visually corresponds to what the note describes.
4. Chronological order — The surrounding notes and GIFs should also make sense in sequence.
If all of these match, copy the appropriate note from the chapter document and post it as a Google Photos comment using the project Google account I provide.
## Very Important: Do Not Guess
If you cannot confidently determine where a note belongs, do not post it.
Instead, skip that item and flag it for me with the chapter name, Google Doc timestamp, possible Google Photos timestamp, and why you are unsure.
I would rather review an uncertain item myself than have a note added to the wrong GIF.
## Existing Comments
If an item already contains the same note/comment, do not add it again.
Do not delete or edit existing comments.
## Do Not Change Anything Else
Your access is for this specific task only.
Do not delete, rename, move, reorder, edit, or upload photos/GIFs. Do not rename albums, change timestamps, modify the original Google Docs, change sharing permissions, or make changes to the project Google account.
Your job is only:
Correct chapter note → correct timestamped Google Photos item → add note as a comment.
## Who I’m Looking For
The ideal person is extremely detail-oriented, comfortable working in Google Docs and Google Photos, patient with repetitive work, able to follow written instructions carefully, and willing to flag uncertainty instead of guessing.
You do not need to be an expert in the sport. The documents and timestamps provide the information needed to complete the task.
## Ongoing Work
This first American Lock instructional is a paid trial.
I will review the work for timestamp accuracy, correct note placement, attention to detail, duplicate avoidance, and whether unclear items were handled correctly.
If the trial goes well, I have a large instructional library and can provide additional ongoing work.
Accuracy is more important than speed.
