Joining Andaz London Liverpool Street means becoming part of a five-star lifestyle hotel located in the heart of vibrant East London. Just moments from Liverpool Street Station, the hotel sits at the centre of one of London’s most trendy neighbourhoods.

The hotel features 267 guestrooms and suites along with a collection of distinctive food and beverage experiences including a brasserie, café bar, wine lounge, gastropub and Japanese restaurant, creating a diverse and fast paced environment for colleagues. Andaz also offers 14 unique meeting and event spaces including the historic 1901 Ballroom and the Masonic Temple, both rich in character and heritage.

We are now looking for a dedicated Head Chef to join our Culinary team.

About the Role

As Head Chef, you will lead a talented culinary team and play a key role in delivering memorable dining experiences across one of London's most vibrant lifestyle hotels.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on individual who can inspire others, balance creativity with commercial awareness, and contribute to the continued success of Andaz London Liverpool Street.

Duties and responsibilities related to Head Chef role

  • Inspiring, and developing a high-performing culinary team, creating a positive and engaging working environment. 
  • Overseeing the day-to-day kitchen operation, ensuring exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Driving culinary innovation through menu development, seasonal dishes, and new food initiatives.
  • Managing labour costs, food costs, productivity, and departmental expenses in line with business objectives.
  • Monitoring operational performance and implementing improvements to drive efficiency and profitability. 
  • Ensuring the highest standards of food safety, health & safety, hygiene, and compliance are maintained at all times.
  • Recruiting, coaching, and developing colleagues to support engagement, retention, and succession planning. 
  • Reporting to the Executive Chef, supporting the delivery of the hotel's culinary strategy and day-to-day operation of the kitchen team.
  • Responding to guest feedback and continuously identifying opportunities to enhance satisfaction and service standards. 
  • Championing Hyatt's values and leading by example to create a culture of excellence, teamwork, and care.

About You

You are an experienced culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoy developing teams, driving performance, and creating memorable guest experiences.

You bring previous experience as a Head Chef, Senior Sous Chef, or in a similar role within a luxury hotel, lifestyle hospitality brand, or high-quality restaurant environment. Alongside your culinary expertise, you possess strong commercial awareness and understand how to balance operational excellence with financial performance.

Most importantly, you share Hyatt's values and take pride in delivering exceptional hospitality through creativity, teamwork, and genuine care for others.
