IB Tutor

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and dedicated IB Tutor to provide academic support to Grade 4 and Grade 6 students. The tutor will handle general subjects aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. The position requires conducting 2-hour tutoring sessions per student, focusing on academic improvement, critical thinking, and overall learning development. Candidates with international teaching or tutoring experience are highly preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct 2-hour one-on-one tutoring sessions for Grade 4 and Grade 6 students.

  • Teach and support students in general subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.

  • Prepare lesson plans and learning materials based on the students' academic needs.

  • Assist with homework, projects, assessments, and exam preparation.

  • Monitor student progress and provide updates to parents or guardians.

  • Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning skills.

  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or any related field.

  • Experience teaching or tutoring students under the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum is preferred.

  • Experience teaching, tutoring, or working abroad is highly preferred.

  • Strong background in elementary-level general subjects.

  • Excellent English communication skills.

  • Patient, responsible, and able to effectively engage young learners.

  • Ability to customize teaching approaches based on individual student needs.

Schedule:

  • 2 hours per student per session

  • Flexible schedule (to be discussed)
