IT Sales Executive — Online Bidding
You are the first person a prospective client hears from. You work the bidding platforms daily, pick the briefs that actually match what we build, and write proposals that read like a person who understood the problem rather than a template. You will sit next to the engineers and designers who deliver the work, so you can get a real answer to a client question the same day instead of guessing.
Responsibilities
- Search Upwork, Freelancer, Guru and PeoplePerHour for briefs matching our services — web, mobile, .NET, Angular, Azure and AI
- Write tailored proposals that address the client’s actual brief, with relevant work samples and a clear next step
- Reply fast: on bidding platforms the first credible response usually gets the conversation
- Qualify before quoting — budget, timeline, decision maker and scope clarity — and walk away from briefs that do not fit
- Work with the delivery team on effort estimates and a realistic scope before anything is committed to a client
- Run discovery calls over chat and video, and hand a qualified opportunity to a senior lead with your notes attached
- Keep the pipeline and every conversation up to date in the CRM, so nothing depends on your memory
- Track which proposal approaches earn replies and adjust — this is a craft, not a numbers game
Requirements
- Hands-on experience bidding on Upwork and/or Freelancer for an IT services company
- Written English good enough that a US or UK client reads your proposal as native
- Enough understanding of web, mobile and cloud delivery to hold a scoping conversation unaided
- The judgement to say a brief is not worth bidding on, and the evidence to back it
- Comfortable being measured on qualified conversations, not proposals sent
Nice to have
- A portfolio of proposals you wrote that converted
- Experience selling AI or data projects specifically
- LinkedIn Sales Navigator or other outbound experience alongside platform bidding
