About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail oriented Junior Estimator to join our commercial fit-out team.

This role is ideal for candidates with 1 to 2 years of estimating, construction, architecture, quantity surveying, or related experience, or graduates who have gained practical industry exposure and are looking to further develop their careers.

You will work closely with experienced estimators and project teams to prepare estimates, review project documentation, coordinate supplier quotations, and support tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing project estimates, budgets, and tender submissions.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and scope documents.
  • Quantify materials, labour, and subcontractor requirements.
  • Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Maintain pricing databases and estimating records.
  • Assist with contract documentation and project administration.
  • Coordinate with design and project teams throughout the estimating process.
  • Support project managers with cost tracking and project documentation.
  • Maintain accurate digital records and project files.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Building Design, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in estimating, construction, architecture, quantity surveying, or related fields.
  • Commercial fit-out experience is advantageous but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within a growing commercial construction team.
Technical Skills
  • Microsoft Excel
  • SketchUp and AutoCAD are advantageous.
  • Adobe Acrobat (PDF markup) is advantageous.
  • Google Workspace or similar cloud collaboration tools.
  • Experience with estimating software is beneficial but not essential.
Work Setup & Requirements
  • Own desktop or laptop capable of performing the required tasks.
  • Reliable internet connection.
  • Willing to work remotely on a full-time schedule.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative remote environment where team members remain connected via video conferencing during working hours.
  • Able to communicate effectively with the team throughout the workday.
