Oakleaf is partnering with a leading global performance-driven technology company that is seeking a strategic Learning & Development Director to join its People team in London. This is a unique opportunity to shape how talent grows, leads, and thrives within a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Scope of the role

In this role, you’ll lead global learning and development strategies designed to empower employees, elevate leadership capabilities at all levels, and strengthen a high-performance culture. From onboarding to ongoing career development, your work will influence every stage of the employee experience.

Responsibilities
  • Own and drive the global L&D strategy, covering leadership development, career growth, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Design and deliver scalable, high-impact learning programs aligned with business objectives and regional needs
  • Develop frameworks, toolkits, and learning pathways to support continuous development
  • Champion company culture by integrating values-driven learning programs
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and People Partners to ensure successful adoption and long-term impact of L&D initiatives
  • Oversee external partnerships, manage program budgets, and ensure timely execution
What You’ll Bring
  • 7+ years of Learning & Development experience, with at least 4 years in a strategic or leadership role
  • Proven success in building and scaling global L&D programs
  • Ability to translate business needs into actionable learning strategies
  • Experience influencing and partnering with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Desirable Qualifications
  • Background in tech, digital, or high-growth environments
  • Experience driving change management initiatives
  • Knowledge or exposure to DEI-centred learning and leadership programs
