Lead Software Developer, Financial Research – CFA Preferred
Job Description:
- Develop high-quality, high-performance, scalable applications using best practices and the latest generation of technologies
- Mentor and work with a skilled team while shaping the future of products
- Collaborate with product and technical stakeholders to understand and clarify requirements
- Provide recommendations for proposed solutions
- Review and validate solution designs from other team members
- Perform design, debugging, and performance analysis on solutions
- Provide technical leadership to a team throughout the project lifecycle
- Follow Agile best practices and actively participate in all scrum ceremonies
- Respond to and resolve production issues
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement of the team and codebase
Requirements:
- Minimum 6+ years of full-stack development experience on enterprise web applications
- Proficiency in frontend development using React/TypeScript
- Proficiency in backend development using Python
- Fluency in AWS infrastructure for web applications, including API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, CloudFront, and S3
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as MySQL
- Experience with object-oriented design principles and backend applications using REST APIs
- Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code technologies
- Experience with Git and continuous integration environments
- Experience with code pipelines such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline
- Experience with frontend and backend unit testing methodologies
- Proficiency with Agile software development lifecycle methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering is required
- CFA designation with hands-on financial equity research experience is a strong plus
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Strong verbal and writing proficiencies
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, including ability to estimate project completion times
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines
