Live Scribe/Medical Assistant (Registered Nurse with Clinical Experience)
Job Summary
We are a primary care company that offers housecall services, specializing in geriatric care across Michigan. With a patient base of approximately 6,000 individuals, we provide the following services:
- Primary care & Palliative care
- Podiatry
- Wound Care
- Social work/counseling and BHI
- Chronic Care Management
- Remote Patient Monitoring
- Dietitian services
We are currently seeking experienced Medical Assistants / Live Medical Scribes to provide clinical and administrative support to our healthcare providers. Registered Nurses (RNs) are strongly preferred, although highly experienced Medical Assistants and other qualified healthcare professionals may also be considered.
Because you will work closely with an assigned provider throughout the day via phone and/or video, excellent spoken and written English communication skills are essential. Candidates should have prior hospital, clinic, or clinical experience and a strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation.
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
- Provide real-time medical scribing during patient encounters.
- Accurately document patient histories, assessments, plans, and other clinical information in the EMR/EHR.
- Assist providers with completing timely, accurate, and compliant progress notes.
- Help ensure documentation meets applicable clinical, insurance, billing, and reimbursement requirements.
- Assist providers in meeting required visit parameters, documentation elements, quality measures, and other metrics that may impact claim acceptance and reimbursement.
- Identify missing or incomplete documentation and appropriately bring it to the provider's attention.
- Assist with medication prescriptions and refill requests as directed and authorized by the provider, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-up.
- Assist with lab and imaging orders, referrals, and other administrative tasks as directed by the provider.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow applicable healthcare privacy, documentation, and medication-related requirements.
Requirements
- RN preferred; experienced Medical Assistants, scribes and other qualified clinical professionals may be considered.
- Hospital, clinic, or other clinical experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation.
- Experience with medical scribing and EMR/EHR systems preferred.
- Familiarity with the US healthcare system, insurance, billing, reimbursement, quality measures, or documentation requirements is a plus.
- Experience handling medication prescriptions and refill requests is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, reliability, and ability to work independently.
- Comfortable communicating with a provider continuously throughout the workday via phone/video.
Pay: From Php70,000.00 per month
