Description About the role: As Load Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring a DCS or manual load / trim sheet is prepared for each Customer Airline departure in full compliance with Airline procedures and SLAs and QAS procedures. Produce safe and efficient LIRFs and any other flight related documents for each Customer Airlines departure as per the stipulated guidelines in a timely manner.

You will aslo be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Apply the Standard Operating Procedures / safety procedures to ensure safety at all times.
  • Plan the aircraft loading in a manner to maintain Ground Stability during the offloading/loading process.
  • Prepare the LIRF with the relevant coding scheme for all dead load, considering IMP codes for special loads and supplementary information regarding QRT/Standby cargo & special loads.
  • Monitor the status of the flight constantly and highlight changes in Zero Fuel weights to the Flight Dispatch / PIC.
  • Produce the loadsheet meeting all legal, safety and quality requirements in the timely manner.
  • Ensure the manual load sheet recency is prepared and recorded as required to maintain the validity of the issued licenses.
  • Inform Load Control Officer of discrepancies / incident and accident occurred pertaining to the weight & balance of the aircraft, if any
  • Participate in assigned training sessions resulting in competence development that allow to deliver the weight and balance services to multiply airline customers.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualification

About You An ideal candidate will
  • Have a minimum of High School Qualification and 5 years of job-related experience or Vocational/Diploma or Associate Degree and 4 years of job-related experience
  • Worked in the capacity as a qualified Load Controller within the Airline industry (preferred, not mandatory)
  • Certified / Licensed to perform Weight & Balance Functions for a Wide / Narrow bodied aircraft of Customer Airlines (preferred, not mandatory)
  • Basic Load Control Knowledge
  • Basic ramp operations knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • IT literate with ability to easily communicate by e-mail
  • Ability to work under pressure and react to frequent operational changes
  • Ability to interpret and apply all relevant SITA messages
Preferred
  • Work experience in Ramp loading activities
  • IATA Dangerous Goods Training for Load Planners
  • Proficiency in Ramp Handling & Departure Control System
  • Proficient in Ground Handling Procedures
  • Advance Load Control course mandatory (not required)
  • Valid Certification in IATA DG training for Load planners.
  • Valid Ramp Handling Course
  • Valid Load Control license for both Wide / Narrow bodied aircrafts
