About UPS & Our Culture

It sounds too good to be true — part-time hours with full-time quality benefits. But at UPS, it has been the reality for decades, and it is one of the primary reasons our part-time workforce has some of the highest retention rates in the logistics industry. Our Part-Time Warehouse positions with benefits are the rare exception in the American labor market — roles where Teamsters union medical, dental, and vision coverage, pension contributions, and paid personal time are available to associates working as few as 17.5 hours per week. When you search for warehouse jobs with benefits near me, nothing else on the market delivers what UPS does at the part-time level.

What Our Team Says (Employee Reviews)

"I took this job because my family needed health insurance and I could not afford individual coverage. UPS's Teamsters medical plan costs me a fraction of what individual insurance costs, covers my entire family, and is genuinely better coverage than what my spouse gets at their full-time job. I work 20 hours a week, I am home by 9:30 AM every morning, and my family's healthcare is completely handled. For anyone searching for warehouse jobs with benefits at part-time hours, UPS is completely in its own league." - Current Part-Time Associate with Benefits, Nashville, TN.

Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Part-Time Warehouse Associate with Benefits, you work a structured 3.5 to 5 hour sort shift inside our package center, performing the core loading, sorting, and unloading functions that keep the UPS delivery network running — and accessing a benefits package that most part-time employers do not even attempt to offer.

  • Core Sort Functions: Execute UPS's standard sort operation tasks — unloading trailers, sorting packages on conveyor systems, and loading delivery vehicles in sequence order — building skill and speed across all three functions over time on a consistent part-time schedule.
  • Benefits Enrollment Navigation: Work with UPS's onboarding team to enroll in Teamsters union medical, dental, and vision benefits, understand your pension accrual schedule, and register for the UPS Earn & Learn tuition assistance program within your first weeks on the job.
  • Consistent Schedule Reliability: Maintain consistent attendance across your assigned part-time shift window — the foundation on which your Teamsters union seniority, annual wage progression, and long-term benefits eligibility are all built.

Benefits & Perks

This UPS part-time position includes the full Teamsters union benefits package — medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and eligible dependents, a defined-benefit pension plan, paid personal days, and UPS Earn & Learn tuition assistance covering up to $25,000 in education costs. Weekly paychecks and contractual annual wage progression raises complete a benefits offering that no comparable part-time warehouse job with benefits in this market can match.
