Part-Time Fashion Designer
This role is ideal for someone with a fashion design diploma or degree based in Singapore with a keen interest in children's wear and looking for a part-time job.
You must love to design prints to suit all ages for children. You will be assisting with sampling, fitting and print comments during our design peak season. The role is a part time role for two days a week for 6 to 8 weeks.
Skills and experience:
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop: Strong technical skills in these design tools are essential for creating professional, high-quality designs, including prints, patterns, and detailed technical drawings.
- Ability to Create and Draw CADs: You should be able to produce clean and precise CAD drawings for garment details, technical specifications, and accurate manufacturing instructions.
- Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design: A formal qualification in Fashion Design is required.
- Strong Print Design Skills: You will be responsible for creating original prints that resonate with children’s fashion, ensuring that each design is age-appropriate, playful, and unique.
- Independent Time Management: You must be able to organise and prioritise multiple tasks, working to tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of creativity and attention to detail.
- Multitasking and Collection Management: The role requires handling multiple tasks at once, including seasonal and licensed collections, each with specific design requirements and timelines.
- Fashion Design Experience: You must have hands-on experience in fashion design. Familiarity with the specific requirements of designing for kids, including comfort, durability, and aesthetics, is advantageous.
- Collaboration and Communication: While the role requires independence, you must also be able to effectively collaborate with other team members, including merchandisers, product developers, and suppliers. Clear communication and alignment on design visions are key.
- Sampling and Revisions: Oversee the sampling process, ensuring that prototypes match your designs. Make any necessary adjustments to fit, style, and quality before final approval.
- Collaboration with Team: Beyond your specific design duties, you’ll collaborate with the marketing and retail teams as necessary to ensure design consistency across all product ranges, helping bring a cohesive brand vision to life across both online and in-store experiences.
