WHAT IS A PERFORMANCE MANAGER?

Our awesome client, a leading news and media company based in Australia is looking for a Performance Manager to be part of their digital marketing team.

  • As a member of the team, the role focuses on the tactical planning, implementation and activation of Programmatic, Paid Social and Paid Search campaigns. The role is required to leverage the relevant DSPs and ad platforms to execute successful performance based campaigns that work towards individual client goals and expectations.
  • The role works closely with the Client Success team, clients and relevant internal stakeholders. It focuses on the in-depth knowledge and expertise of ad platform trading techniques to achieve optimal performance from campaigns, supported through strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Success in this position is measured by the effective delivery of campaign budgets to achieve the relevant target (e.g. awareness, traffic, acquisition and ROAS). Overall customer retention and satisfaction is a priority KPI for this role, so attention to detail is essential.
  • Overall, you’re passionate about the broader media industry and will be a key player in the output of the team. You enjoy working in a team environment and collaborating with others to solve problems and deliver exceptional work.
WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES?
  • Execute bid and buy strategies primarily across a combination of paid social, search, and programmatic mobile, video and display channels, adhering to the organization's client performance and pricing guidelines;
  • Generate and implement tracking tags through tag management solutions (i.e. Google Tag Manager);
  • Tailor campaign solutions and channels to individual client needs;
  • Ensure full delivery and performance standards of advertising campaigns are met;
  • Recommend opportunities for improvement in bid and buy strategies;
  • Adhere to the appropriate SLA's during daily activities;
  • Communicate with your Team Lead on process and analytics improvement opportunities;
  • Produce robust post-campaign analysis by utilizing data via DSP tools, as required;
  • Clearly demonstrate, using data, how the organization’s bid and buy strategies improved performance;
  • Provide recommendations to improve upon weekly and monthly performance reports;
  • Offer technical support, troubleshoot underperforming or under delivering campaigns and discrepancies;
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to strengthen client relationships and meet retention goals;
  • Identify and justify budget scaling and upsell opportunities;
  • Work towards the overall revenue targets.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working across Paid Social, Search and/or Programmatic buying platforms.
  • Must have in-platform execution experience managing campaigns and making decisions (preferably The Trade Desk, Facebook Ads Manager and/or Google Ads as a minimum)
  • Proven experience with Google Tag Manager and campaign management tools such as DV360
  • Effectively allocate time to create the most value for clients, with a high level of attention to detail;
  • Be organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, time management is crucial for a Trader;
  • Be charismatic, direct and proactive with the ability to build credibility internally and externally;
  • Have ability to make data lead decisions while articulating information in a concise and compelling manor;
  • Be proactive and engage with your team members, have a ‘can do’, positive and flexible attitude;
  • Excellent listening skills to understand our clients and other teams' requirements;
  • Take ownership of your day-to-day;
  • Excellent written and verbal skills - you need to have the ability to articulate information in a concise and compelling manner;
  • Understanding of reporting and data visualization tools.
