PHP Developer/Programmer

As we grow, we're enhancing our digital capabilities and are seeking a skilled PHP Developer to manage backend data services that support our online platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with PHP and PHP frameworks, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for building seamless, high-performing web applications. Working closely with our front-end and design teams, you’ll be instrumental in creating robust solutions that improve the online experience for both our students and tutors. Objectives of this Role: - Build and customize PHP scripts that drive backend services and ensure data management. - Develop responsive, scalable web applications in PHP that connect backend components to our online services. - Work collaboratively with the front-end and creative teams throughout the project lifecycle. - Ensure smooth integration and high performance in web development to enhance our tutoring platform. - Provide PHP backend support to facilitate a seamless experience across all digital touchpoints. Responsibilities: - Diagnose and resolve issues in PHP programming to ensure smooth functionality. - Implement feedback into optimized, customized backend solutions that enhance the user experience. - Assist the front-end team by delivering consistent PHP backend support. - Develop and integrate plugins for PHP frameworks to extend functionality. - Address performance, architectural, or integration issues within the PHP development scope. Required Skills and Qualifications: - Proficient in PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Yii, CakePHP, etc. - Experience with JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, XML, XHTML, and other front-end technologies. - Solid understanding of object-oriented programming in PHP. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: - Experience as a full-stack PHP developer. - Working knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases. - A keen interest in creating seamless, effective solutions through design and coding. - Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
