We produce and deliver high volumes of meals spanning a diverse array of cuisines to every demographic in New York City. Kommissary is seeking a Picker/Packer that will work efficiently in a high-paced environment, using good verbal and written communication skills. This person should have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented person that works with a sense of urgency- with a stable work history for this job. This role requires you to work in both fulfillment centers located in LIC, NY and Bronx, NY. Responsibilities & Duties: Pick items from stock as per stock withdrawal or manager request. Ensure all items are labeled and packed appropriately for shipping. Maintain neat, orderly workstations and warehouse storage. Inspect items for physical or cosmetic damage, noting and reporting any irregularity. Take products and pack them neatly in our shipping boxes/crates. Double check the contents to ensure that the orders have been packed correctly. Responsible for invoicing work orders, returns from clients and meeting service deadlines. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Experience working in a warehouse setting. High school diploma or equivalent. NYC Food Handler’s Certification or ServSafe Certification preferred. Microsoft excel proficient, a plus! Basic math skills. Strong team work and great communication skills. Able to read alpha and numeric codes from pick sheets and slots. Able to consistently meet minimum production standards. Able to operate electronic pallet jacks to stack cases on pallets and shrink. wrap completed order. Able to select orders accurately and quickly. Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays. Can lift up to 70 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours in cold/warm temperatures, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach. Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.
