Job Overview

Fully remote position. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Insurance Agent to join our growing independent insurance agency. In this role, you will be responsible for customer service and P&C sales with the option to write life insurance. Assisting and educating clients in selecting the right insurance policies to meet their needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills and a deep understanding of insurance products, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive coverage tailored to their unique situations.

*Must have an active North Carolina P&C license and be located in NC*

Compensation:

  • Base Salary + Commission

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their insurance needs.
  • Ability to generate leads and referral sources.
  • Provide expert guidance on various insurance products.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients situations to recommend appropriate coverage options.
  • Manage the sales administration process from initial contact through policy issuance.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions in compliance company and state requirements.
  • Follow up with clients regarding policy renewals and additional coverage options.
  • Utilize telemarketing and referral techniques to reach potential clients and expand the customer base.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and product offerings to provide informed advice.
  • Service existing accounts.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in insurance sales or related fields is highly desirable.
  • 1 year of independent insurance agency experience preferred.
  • Strong sales administration skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficient in negotiation techniques to secure favorable terms for clients.
  • Experience in outbound calls.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Active P&C license
