Location: North London
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE
Working Pattern: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Some weekend work required
My client is a creative and growing event catering business delivering high-quality food and event experiences across corporate, private and wedding events.
They are now seeking a Sales & Events Executive to join the team, with a particular focus on weddings and exclusive-use events.
This is a varied role combining proactive sales, client relationship management and detailed event planning. You will manage the client journey from initial enquiry through to event delivery, while working closely with culinary, operations and creative teams to bring each event to life.
The role would suit someone with previous event or hospitality experience who is commercially minded, highly organised and genuinely passionate about weddings, food and creating memorable experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business across weddings, private events and corporate bookings
- Manage enquiries and create tailored proposals based on client requirements
- Build and develop strong relationships with clients, venues and event agencies
- Manage the full sales and planning journey through to event delivery
- Oversee event budgets, timelines and profitability
- Prepare detailed event sheets, packing lists and service plans
- Coordinate closely with culinary, operations and creative teams
- Lead pre-event meetings and brief event teams and freelance staff
- Manage multiple events and projects simultaneously
- Ensure thorough handovers where another Event Manager is required
- Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with venues and agencies
- Track sales performance, event profitability, GP targets and client feedback
- Collect post-event feedback and use insights to improve future delivery
- Manage client expectations, deadlines and any issues that arise throughout the planning process
About You
- Minimum 1 year's experience planning and delivering events, ideally including weddings
- Strong client management and project management skills
- Commercially driven with a proven ability to convert enquiries into bookings
- Genuine passion for weddings and milestone events
- Confident managing the full sales cycle from enquiry through to event delivery
- Strong relationship builder with clients, venues and agencies
- Commercially aware with experience managing budgets and event profitability
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Creative and confident working with culinary and operations teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passionate about food, drink, hospitality and events
- Confident using Microsoft Office, Google Docs and other digital systems
