Senior Customer Service Representative, Patient Scheduling
Job Description:
- Independently assist internal and external clients by clarifying and researching information and resolving non-clinical problems
- Work with Nurse Managers/Supervisors, field staff, and patients to schedule home infusion visits within a region of branches
- Complete nurse assignments for patients and reschedule visits based on patient availability
- Staff new patients with appropriate nurses and monitor patient appointments for accuracy
- Coordinate nursing referrals with pharmacy, reimbursement, and nursing departments
- Communicate with staff, departments, and prescribers via fax, email, instant messaging, and phone
- Monitor personal email and nursing mailboxes and prioritize follow-up work
- Manipulate multiple Excel documents to determine required tasks and urgency
- Respond to inquiries from patients, field staff, and departments regarding nursing and patient referrals and schedules
- Investigate and research issues and provide resolutions
- Take initiative in problem solving, multitasking, and critical thinking
- Enter data accurately and promptly in appropriate systems
Requirements:
- High School education or GED required
- 5+ years of relevant Customer Service experience
- High proficiency and regular use of Excel and Outlook required
- Pro-active work ethic with ability to be managed/trained virtually
- Detail orientation
- Excellent written and oral professional communication skills
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment, learn quickly, solve problems, and make independent decisions
- Candidate must be located within 50 miles of the New Orleans, LA, branch location
- Home internet connection must be through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload
