<strong>Shipping & Receiving Associate - Paper Warehouse<br><br></strong><strong>Job Summary:<br><br></strong>The Shipping and Receiving Associate, Paper Department, is responsible for the efficient processing and management of large paper rolls within the warehouse. This role involves overseeing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring safe practices to meet operational goals.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Receiving Shipments: Inspect and verify incoming shipments of large paper rolls for accuracy and quality, documenting any discrepancies or damages.</li><li>Shipping Orders: Prepare outgoing shipments of large paper rolls, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and proper labeling.</li><li>Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels for large paper rolls, conducting regular counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy.</li><li>Quality Control: Monitor the condition of materials and report any quality issues or damages to the supervisor.</li><li>Documentation: Complete all necessary shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and inventory logs.</li><li>Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.</li><li>Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies, collaborating with team members and supervisors as necessary.</li><li>Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely and efficient shipping and receiving operations.</li><li>Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support warehouse operations.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse shipping and receiving role, particularly with large paper rolls or similar materials, is preferred.</li><li>Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, good communication skills, and effective problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long hours and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
