Good social media and publicity skills to help with raising our media presence across all platforms.<br><br>What difference will you make?<br><br>Your input will shape how we present ourselves to our service users, stakeholders, funders and general public. With your help we will be able to increase our membership and team of volunteers, and encourage waterways authorities to engage with us.<br><br>What are we looking for?<br><br>Proven track record using social media for promotion of an organisation. Fluent English literacy skills (both written and spoken) essential. Knowledge of the Inland Waterways an advantage.<br><br>Remote<br><br>What will you be doing?<br><br>You will be familiar with popular and suitable social media platforms and WordPress blogs. The successful candidate will work with the founder directors to promote AWA, creating awareness of what we do. This will highlight our work to the waterways authorities and users alike.<br><br>We are looking for an enthusiastic person to help boost our Social Media presence across all suitable platforms. Currently we have accounts with Facebook, Twitter (X), Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn. This will involve general posts, as well as an exciting new project which will be followed over the next few months.<br><br>The successful volunteer will have good English and grammar skills, and an understanding of our aims. Knowledge of the Inland Waterways would be an advantage, but not essential. An appreciation of accessibility needs would also be valuable.<br><br>The aim is to create more awareness for the work we are doing, increase membership and online engagement, as well as encouraging corporate sponsorship and fundraising.<br><br>We want content that will show how we can benefit the community as a whole - that making things accessible for those with disabilities can make them more accessible for all.<br><br>The position is flexible, based on the person recruited.
