We are looking for a creative, energetic, and visually driven Social Media Manager to own our digital presence. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves being behind the camera just as much as they love managing the grid and staying ahead of social media trends.

Role Summary

As the Social Media Manager, you will be the visual storyteller and voice of Outpost Groups across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

You will be responsible for conceptualizing, producing, shooting, editing, publishing, alongside daily platform management to help drive brand awareness, engagement and bookings for both Castaway Tours and Outpost Hostels.

This role requires someone who can balance creative execution with strategic thinking, bringing fresh ideas inspired by social trends while ensuring all content remains aligned with our brand playbook and business objectives.

Key Collaboration

You will brainstorm, align, and execute social media initiatives in close coordination with our External Marketing Consultant, who will provide strategic guidance and final approval on content calendars, campaigns, and major brand initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Content Strategy & Conceptualization
  • Develop content ideas and social campaigns aligned with the Outpost and Castaway brand playbooks.
  • Proactively identify and adapt emerging social media trends, formats, audio, etc. into relevant content opportunities.
  • Translate business priorities, promotions, events and guest experiences into engaging social content.
  1. On-Site Content Production (Photo & Video)
  • Direct, shoot, and produce high-quality photo and video (Reels, TikToks, Instagram etc. and other social media platforms) that capture the essence of Outpost Groups.
  • Act as the primary on-the-ground content creator, capturing daily hostel life, guest experiences, tours, events and other Outpost Groups activities.
  • Create both planned content and real-time trend-based content opportunities.
  • Edit all raw footage and photos efficiently into polished, platform-ready formats (including color-correcting, adding audio trends, captions, and transitions).
  1. Coordination & Approval Workflow
  • Develop a monthly Social Media Content Calendar blending planned visual assets with trending ideas.
  • Collaborate closely with our External Consultant to ensure the visual direction aligns with broader marketing goals.
  • Submit content calendars, rough cuts, and draft posts to the External Consultant for review and final approval before publishing.
  1. Platform Management & Community
  • Schedule and publish content across all active platforms (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook).
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice in all captions and community interactions.
  • Actively manage our online communities by responding to comments, DMs, and mentions in a timely manner.
  • Track key performance metrics (engagement, reach, views) with the External Consultant to continuously improve content style. Identify top-performing content themes and recommend improvements based on insights.
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of experience in Social Media Management, Content Creation, Digital Marketing or a related field.
  • Proven experience creating content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Facebook.
  • Strong photography, videography and mobile-first content creation skills.
  • Proficiency in video editing tools such as CapCut, Canva or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends, platform algorithms and best practices.
Pay: Php25,000.00 - Php30,000.00 per month
