Sr. Content Editor/Writer (Fashion Retail) | Shaw On Site | Night shift

About the role
The Sr. Content Editor (Writer) will be responsible for creating, editing and refining high-quality content tailored specifically for the fashion retail industry. You will play a strategic role in ensuring all written materials maintain brand consistency, industry standards and engage our target audience effectively. This position is crucial to our content delivery operations and directly impacts client satisfaction and brand reputation.

Key responsibilities
• Write clear, concise product copy for print and web
• Be responsible for proofreading, audit corrections, copy updates, product copy, JIRA ticket tasks, and other assignments as directed by the Copy Lead
• Work with the Creative and Account teams to ensure all copy deadlines are met on all assigned work and remain flexible with new tasks and quick turnarounds
• Apply SEO best practices as defined by the company, ensuring consistent implementation across all content
• Write print collateral, including covers, versions, headlines, supporting copy, bind-ins, and postcards
• Write copy for website content and copy for the homepage, site sections, landing pages, editorial features, and account-related pages
• Craft email content, including subject lines and other components as needed
• Write marketing copy for credit card communications, promotions, customer service messaging, and special events, as assigned by Copy Leads

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of web and print copywriting experience
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
• Ability to work very quickly, extremely accurately, and flexibly while juggling many projects at once
• Experience writing content for digital, print, and social media platforms
• Knowledge of SEO, including the ability to research the latest trends in content development guidelines
• Ability to produce large quantities of unique content in the brand voice across all media
• Ability to lead and mentor junior copywriters, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign a must)

Nice to Have

• Experience in the fashion retail industry is a strong asset
• Proven background in e-commerce and digital content writing is a plus
• Leading other writers would be an asset
