Supply Chain & Demand Planner | Work from Home - Dayshift

Position Overview

The Supply Chain & Demand Planner supports demand planning, purchasing, inventory analysis, production scheduling, supplier coordination, and operational reporting across the business. This role uses historical sales data, business forecasts, promotional activity, inventory information, and AI-enabled forecasting and reporting tools to develop accurate demand plans, maintain stock availability, identify exceptions, and provide recommendations that support commercial and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning & Forecasting

  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, customer demand, and promotional activity.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust plans based on changing business conditions.
  • Validate forecast outputs, identify exceptions, and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to support planning activities.
  • Support promotional and campaign planning by assessing demand uplift and inventory requirements.

Inventory, Purchasing & Supply Chain

  • Manage purchasing and replenishment activities to ensure product availability.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimising stockouts and excess stock.
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and potential supply risks.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners to support stock availability and delivery timelines.

Production & Supplier Management

  • Liaise with suppliers and contract manufacturers to coordinate production requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Support production planning and scheduling to meet forecasted demand.
  • Assist with supplier compliance, quality standards, and issue resolution.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyse and report on demand, inventory, production, sales, and supply chain performance.
  • Maintain planning tools, dashboards, trackers, and reporting models.
  • Identify opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy, reporting, inventory visibility, and operational efficiency.

Other Duties

  • Perform other supply chain and demand planning duties as required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Commerce, Logistics, Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in demand planning, inventory planning, procurement, supply chain, or a similar analytical role.
  • Experience with demand planning, ERP, inventory management, or reporting systems.
  • Experience working with suppliers, manufacturers, or logistics partners is highly regarded
  • Exposure to AI-enabled forecasting, automation, or analytics tools is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret sales, inventory, and forecasting data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools.
  • Sound understanding of inventory management, replenishment planning, purchasing, and supply chain operations.
  • Ability to identify trends, validate data, challenge assumptions, and make practical recommendations.
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, commercially minded, and proactive in a fast-paced environment.
