Position Summary The Total Rewards Operations Senior Analyst is responsible for leave of absence management, the operational execution, systems administration, analytics, documentation, and continuous improvement of the organization's Total Rewards programs.

Analyst partners closely with Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, HRIS, and external vendors to ensure compensation, health benefit, retirement, recognition, leave, and compliance programs operate efficiently, accurately, and at scale.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a passion for improving processes through automation, technology, and data-driven decision making. This position serves as part of the operational engine behind Total Rewards and plays a critical role in managing the leave of absence process for a growing organization.

Essential Responsibilities

Leave of Absence Process

  • Administer the organization's leave of absence programs, serving as the primary point of contact for employees and managers throughout the leave process to ensure a positive experience.
  • Coordinate with third-party leave administrators to ensure proper case management, and seamless administration of disability and leave benefits.
  • Review and monitor case status, to ensure leaves are managed in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • Coordinate return-to-work activities, including fitness-for-duty certifications, work restrictions, transitional accommodations, and employee reinstatement.
  • Partner with Core HR, Payroll, and managers to resolve complex leave and accommodation matters.
  • Maintain accurate leave records within HRIS and leave management systems.
  • Coordinate payroll, benefit deductions, disability payments, and benefits continuation during employee leaves.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local leave regulations, including FMLA,
  • ADA, PWFA, USERRA, and applicable paid leave programs.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process documentation, employee resources, and manager guides related to leave administration.
  • Identify opportunities to automate leave administration processes and improve workflows through technology and AI-enabled solutions.
Total Rewards Operations
  • Manage day-to-day operational administration of Total Rewards programs.
  • Ensure accurate execution of benefit eligibility, life event processing, and vendor data feeds.
  • Maintain operational calendars and annual Total Rewards project plans.
  • Coordinate operational activities across Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Finance, HRIS, and external vendors.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all Total Rewards processes.
  • Identify operational risks and recommend process improvements.
Process Improvement & Automation
  • Evaluate existing workflows and identify automation opportunities.
  • Design, document, and implement streamlined operational processes.
  • Partner with HRIS and technology teams on system enhancements.
  • Leverage AI and workflow automation tools to reduce manual effort.
  • Create process maps and operational documentation.
Project Support

Support projects including

  • Ongoing eligibility reviews for Fee for Service Clinicians

  • Perform audits to identify discrepancies.
Systems Administration

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Analytics, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in Total Rewards, HR Operations, HRIS, Benefits,
  • Compensation, or HR Analytics
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, Power Query preferred)
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Experience creating SOPs and process documentation
Preferred
  • Experience with Leave of Absence administration and laws
  • Experience with benefit administration systems
  • Experience supporting compensation cycles
