Visual Slide Design Expert (PowerPoint Aesthetics & Design)

Mercor is hiring on behalf of a leading AI research lab seeking Visual Slide Design Experts to help create high-quality, visually compelling presentation materials. This role focuses on transforming complex ideas into clear, polished, and engaging slide decks that meet professional and executive-level standards. You will work closely with AI-generated content and human collaborators to refine structure, improve visual storytelling, and elevate design quality across presentations used for research, product, and business communication.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and refine professional PowerPoint / Google Slides presentations

  • Improve visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and color consistency

  • Convert rough content (text-heavy slides, outlines, AI drafts) into clear, engaging visuals

  • Apply principles of visual storytelling to enhance clarity and impact

  • Create reusable templates, slide systems, and design guidelines

  • Ensure slides meet high aesthetic standards suitable for executives, clients, and investors

  • Collaborate with teams to align design with brand and communication goals


Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in presentation design, visual communication, or related fields

  • Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality slide decks or visual presentations

  • Expertise in:

    • PowerPoint / Google Slides

    • Layout, typography, color theory, and spacing

  • Ability to simplify complex information into clean, digestible visuals

  • Strong attention to detail and consistency

  • Comfort working with AI-generated or structured content


Nice to Have

  • Experience designing pitch decks, consulting slides, or investor presentations

  • Background in graphic design, UI/UX, or branding

  • Familiarity with tools like Figma, Illustrator, or Canva

  • Experience working with research, technical, or data-heavy content
