Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity strategies aligned with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and FIPS.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, security risk analyses, and vulnerability research to identify potential weaknesses within network infrastructure and IT systems.
- Manage security tools including SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), firewalls like Cisco ASA, and VPN solutions to monitor and respond to security events.
- Oversee network security operations involving LAN/WAN management, routing protocols such as OSPF and EIGRP, and network architecture design for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Perform incident response activities including threat detection & response, incident management, system hardening, and incident recovery procedures.
- Ensure compliance with information security frameworks such as ISO 27000 series, PCI standards, FedRAMP, FISMA, COBIT, and ITIL best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security system administration tasks like identity & access management (IAM), system security plans, cloud security engineering on platforms like AWS or Azure, and cloud architecture deployment.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPsec VPNs, Ethernet, VoIP, QoS, and network support.
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools such as Splunk, New Relic, Fiddler, PRTG Network Monitor for log analysis and security event management.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash (Unix shell), Python for automation of security tasks.
- Familiarity with operating systems including Windows Server environments, Linux distributions like Debian or CentOS, macOS, Ubuntu, openSUSE, Solaris.
- Expertise in system administration practices including system hardening using SELinux or system security configuration tools.
- Knowledge of encryption technologies such as PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), SSL/TLS protocols for secure communications.
- Understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS GCP Azure) along with cloud infrastructure security best practices.
- Ability to perform network installation/configuration of Cisco routers/switches or VMware vSphere environments for virtualization needs.
- Experience with threat intelligence gathering & analysis frameworks to proactively identify emerging cyber threats.
- Excellent problem-solving skills in cybersecurity analysis combined with strong communication abilities to articulate complex issues clearly.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
