Are you passionate about contributing to the well-being of the Medicare population? Would you like to provide support to an active and fast-paced team of sales professionals? The Sales Support Representative provides sales administrative support to assist the team with bringing new members on board and retaining the members we serve. You will perform advanced administrative, operational and member support responsibilities that require independent initiative and judgment.

Reporting to the Manager, Sales Support, you will support a Manager of Sales Administration, Senior Manager of Medicare Sales, a Director, and up to 20 Medicare Sales Representatives, and our external agents. Decisions require strong time management skills to prioritize requests and create and organize processes to complete administrative tasks and projects. We are looking for an independent thinker who can rely upon their own judgment to meet work deadlines. The selected associate will work in collaboration with other teams and departments.


Some responsibilities include:

  • Processing sales invoices
  • Drafting sales documents, proposals, reports, and correspondence such as sales contracts and maintenance agreements
  • Compiling and completing standard calculations for reporting statistics
  • Gathering background research on member accounts, prospects, competitors, and industry trends to support sales team activities
  • Communicate with staff in other areas of the organization to confirm the status of orders and resolve member complaints
  • Maintaining up-to-date member records
  • Collating marketing materials and preparing information needed for team meetings
  • Answering internal and member inquiries
  • Working under limited guidance, relying on previous experience / depth and breadth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge
  • Completing general administrative duties

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of administrative experience
  • Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Teams
  • Self-motivated with experience handling support requests from a variety of different channels, while handling calls and multiple projects
  • Light travel may be required, based on business needs
  • This is a remote / work from home position. You must have a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
  • Must be able to lift boxes up to 40 lbs. We ask that you organize, load, and unload products and Medicare materials used during Annual Election Period (AEP)
  • Required work schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Central Time, Monday through Friday, subject to change based on business need

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree
  • Background in sales, marketing, or related field
  • Healthcare industry experience

Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


$44,900 - $60,200 per year
